What should I expect from The golf scramble?
The Starkville Academy Golf Scramble will consist of several elements. There will be a 4-man golf scramble in the afternoon, followed by a low country shrimp boil dinner, a putting contest, and live entertainment. Prizes will be given for: Long Drive, Closest to the Hole, and Hole-In-One.
What is the cost to attend?
4-Man Golf Scramble Team: $1,200
1 Meal Ticket: $30
1 Mahjong Learn and Play Ticket: $50
1 Mahjong Open Play Ticket: $40
What should I expect from MAHJONG?
Whether you're brand new to Mahjong or have played for years, there's something for everyone! The afternoon begins with a Learn & Play session from 2:00–3:00 PM, featuring instruction from Mrs. Lynda McReynolds for beginners and those looking to sharpen their skills. From 3:00–5:00 PM, enjoy Open Play for players of all experience levels. Throughout the event, you'll have opportunities to meet other players, enjoy friendly competition, win door prizes, and enter a raffle for a chance to take home a custom Mahjong set.

Am I required to play in the scramble in order to attend the event?
No. You have 3 options to participate in the event:
You may participate as scramble player
You may purchase a meal ticket for the Par & Peel dinner
You may participate in the Putting Contest from 1:30-5:30 p.m. (all ages welcome)
Will there be an alternative to shrimp for the meal?
Yes. You will have the option to have chicken strips and French fries instead of boiled shrimp.
What do I get when I register a team of 4?
Entry for 4 golfers
4 tickets to our Par & Peel dinner
What is this event going to support?
All funds raised in relation to this event will go toward assisting the budgets of our student organizations, extracurricular clubs, and athletic teams.
