Library & Media Center

About The Library & Media Center

Starkville Academy is pleased to offer two different Libraries/Media Centers for its students.

The Elementary Library services students in Pre K – Grade 6 and is located in the C Building. Students visit the library weekly and are allowed to check out books, participate in story time, and are encouraged to enhance their vocabulary and reading skills through the Accelerated Reader program. The Elementary Library provides four computers for student use.

The Secondary Media Center is located in the E building and provides services for students in grades 7 – 12. Students are able to visit the Media Center during study halls, breaks, and with permission from their teacher. Additionally, the Media Center is open daily, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. In addition to a vast collection of books, periodicals, and original documents, the Media Center houses an updated computer lab with 25 computers for students to use for research, homework, and completing assignments.
