“Put Your Worries Here: A Creative Journal for Teens with Anxiety” (The Instant Help Guided Journal for Teens Series) By Lisa M. Schab LCSW
“Guy's Guide to God, Girls, and the Phone in Your Pocket: 101 Real-World Tips for Teenaged Guys” – By Jonathan McKee
“Smart Girl's Guide to God, Guys, and the Galaxy” By Susie Shellenberger & Kristin Weber
As the Middle School Counselor, I work closely with students through monthly classroom lessons and grade-level events designed to support their personal, social, and academic growth. Each month focuses on a new theme, such as responsibility, positive thinking, inclusion, bullying prevention, kindness, gratitude, technology safety, career exploration, and many other important topics that help students thrive.
In addition to these lessons and events, I provide individual counseling and peer mediation services to support students as they navigate challenges with friendships, behavior, or personal concerns. I am also available to assist with academic or classroom issues that may arise throughout the school year.
Parents, please be on the lookout for my monthly newsletter, which will include detailed information about the upcoming lesson or event for your child’s grade, as well as important announcements and updates.
With the help of SAPA, I have been able to create “Care Closet” in my office for our students. I have school supplies, guided journals, self-help books, fidgets, good behavior incentives, personal hygiene products, feminine products, snacks, drinks, and more. I feel like our students really love this and appreciate everything! If you have any old school supplies, books, random toys that could be used as incentives, or snacks that may not be eaten, I know our students would love them!
