Sign up for Diamond Girls will be Jan. 21-28 in the HS office. This is for girls in grades 10-12.

Earn Service Hours:  Juniors and Seniors, United Way is looking for volunteers to stuff Frostbite bags on Thursday, January 23, at 5:45pm in the Renasant Room at Renasant Bank.  If interested, see Mrs. Hubbard or Mrs. Prosser.

7th-12th Graders:  The Partnership and the MSU E-Center have partnered with International Paper for the 3rd annual Innovation Challenge where ALL Oktibbeha County middle and high school students are Inventing Tomorrow. $3000 in prizes. Applications go live on January 16 and the application deadline is March 2.  Please go on-line at to apply and get more details.

ASVAB testing for Juniors in the band hall on Thursday, January 23.

Quiz Bowl on Friday, January 24, in Pearl. 

Juniors interested in attending Boys or Girls State this summer need to see Mrs. Hubbard for details.  Boys State will be on the Ole Miss campus May 24- 30.  Girls State will be at USM June 7-12.

Bagley College of Engineering at MSU will sponsor the I AM GIRL program  for girls ages 11-14 to introduce science and engineering related careers.  Dates are 2/29, 3/21, and 4/4 from 9-1 each Saturday and participant needs to attend all 3 dates. A light lunch is provided and there is no cost to the program.  The application and more information can be found at the link below.  Deadline to apply is January 25.

This week’s games:         

Basketball:  Tuesday, January 21 vs Winston.  Games begin with 7th Boys Orange at 3 pm.
                     Thursday, January 23 vs Heritage.  Games begin with 7th Girls at 3 pm.
                     Saturday, January 25 vs Starkville Christian.  7th Boys Blue at 11, 7th Girls at 12,
                     7th Boys Orange at 1.  JV and Varsity to follow. 

Soccer:  Tuesday, January 21 vs Pillow at 5 pm.
