Shuffield Takes First Place in 4-County

Memory Shuffield, first place winner, was one of three selected to represent 4-County at the 2020 Youth Leadership Workshop, sponsored by the Electric Cooperatives of Mississippi (ECM), in Jackson Feb. 26-28. 

In addition to participating in the Youth Leadership Workshop, they will travel to Washington, D.C., for the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association’s Youth Tour of the Capital, June June 20-26.

Thirteen young leaders from the 4-County service area, selected as winners to represent their schools, competed in the Youth Leadership Program Nov. 13 at the 4-County Corporate Center.

“All 13 candidates were truly outstanding,” said 4-County’s Brad Barr, Youth Tour coordinator. “We are looking forward to Memory, Tomyah and Katie representing us on local, state and national levels through this wonderful leadership development program.”

This is the 7th year in a row that a SA student has been selected as one of the 4-County winners! Great job, Memory, You are such a wonderful young man, and so deserving of this award/honor.
