Starkville native Jake Goodwin has joined the Greater Starkville Development Partnership staff as its new program coordinator.

A 2014 honors graduate of Starkville Academy, Goodwin graduated from Mississippi State University in May 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in communication.

During his time at MSU, Goodwin gained several leadership experiences through involvement in organizations including Orientation Leader, Maroon VIP, and Sigma Chi Fraternity.

In his new role, Goodwin will be working with the Oktibbeha Young Leaders program, as well as assisting in the Partnership’s special events, membership, and tourism efforts.

Jennifer Prather, Interim CEO, stated, “We are so thrilled to have Jake on the Partnership team. He brings an exciting energy and his experience as an orientation leader and recent MSU graduate brings a unique opportunity for the Partnership to explore ways to better serve our student and young professional community.”

“I am elated to be a part of the Partnership staff, Starkville has given me so much throughout my life and I am beyond excited for the opportunity to return the favor,” said Goodwin.

The Partnership is comprised of the Starkville Area Chamber of Commerce, Oktibbeha County Economic Development Authority, Starkville Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Starkville Main Street Association.
