Welcome to Starkville Academy, an independent co-educational school for grade PreK (four year old) to grade twelve.  This website aims to provide information about our school for visitors, as well as keeping those already involved and associated with the school up to date with current activities and developments.

If you are a visitor to the site, we hope it will enlighten you to the busy and purposeful life at Starkville Academy and convey the feeling of energy and enthusiasm that the children put into all that they do.

 The unofficial motto of Starkville Academy is “Now and for the Future”, and I could not express more succinctly my belief in the strength and value of an independent education in preparing our students for the next level of education and success in life.  We are blessed to have an extraordinary faculty, informed and involved parents, hard-working and inspiring administrators, and supportive Board members as the key elements in offering a flourishing independent education to all of our students.

Starkville Academy is defined by a caring atmosphere of excellence.  We provide an environment that cherishes success, stresses excellence within balance, and cares for the individual child as he or she grows.  Across the spectrum of grades, we give our students opportunities to shine that they might not have in a larger arena.  Not only do they learn about the sense of responsibility inherent in a small school, but they are allowed to emerge as leaders in student government, athletics, and on the stage, as they experience and learn with so much greater adult attention placed on them, and with so much more to gain.
