I consider my job as an educator to be that of a missionary. I believe that God has called me to do what I do and I am privileged to get this opportunity. My first priority is to ensure that each and every student or athlete is presented with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the fact of how much He loves them just the way they are. I believe that I am supposed to encourage, discipline, motivate, lead, guide, direct, build-up and mold the students into what God has planned for their lives. I consider my position to be one that helps my students or athletes to achieve a level of success that they would not have achieved on their own. I do not believe that you have to be their friend to accomplish this task. They will a lot of friends in their lives, they need someone to do and say those things that they need to hear, not necessarily what they want to hear. I believe that we should do our job so that each generation has a larger impact on our society than the previous one. The only place you will find success coming before work is in the dictionary, so we should not expect it to be any different in education or in life.
