I instruct all sixth grade students using the Harcourt science series which includes life science, Earth science, and physical science. My goal is to provide students the opportunity to investigate our world, learn about interesting and relevant science ideas and to link science to mathematics and other aspects of the elementary curriculum. Sixth grade curriculum uses Harcourt publishers for reading, social studies, spelling, and science and allows cross-curricular suggestions integrating each of these subjects. I hope to prepare my students for junior high not only intellectually but to be responsible and diligent about their work.
