Drug Screening Policy

Starkville Academy is a nondiscriminatory college preparatory school for grades K-12 that advocates a holistic approach to education in a Christian environment. Established in 1969, the school is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the Mississippi Private School Association. The student body includes children of different races with different religious and ethnic backgrounds.

Admissions: applications will be accepted in grades K-12 upon receipts of an application form, a paid registration fee and successful completion of a standardized assessment test.
A student’s admission depends upon vacancies and determination of acceptance according to admission policies by the school’s administration and Board of Directors.

 

Foreign Exchange Student Information

Starkville Academy is adjudicated through the Naturalization and Immigration Service to accept Non-Immigrant Foreign Exchange students. Contact Jessica Hubbard at 662-323-7814, extension 107 for information.

2008 - 2009 Tuition and Fees

Registration Fee:  (Non-refundable)
$200 per family for families who sign their
2008-2009 contract
between
February 25, 2008 - March 7, 2008
  $300 per family in all other cases.
Tuition/Book Fee/Building Fee:    Pre-K-6:    $3,750 per student per year
may be paid in 1 or 10 payments    Grades 7-12:  $3,850 per student per year
   
   

                                                                                                                     

A reminder that total tuition has only increased $150 and the building fee has only increased $50.00 per student. The $250 building fee and a $100 book fee have been added to the total tuition above for each student and will be paid monthly over the term of the contract.

NOTE:  Tuition/fees may be paid in full at any time during the year. If the 10 payment option is selected, payments are due on the 1st of the month. If payments are not received in the office by the15th day of the month, a late fee of $30 will be added to the amount due as specified in your contract. There is a $15 fee for returned checks.

Scholarship Information: A completed application, registration fee, and all other required information must be submitted by the April 1st Priority Deadline. Contact the administrative office at 662-323-7814 for scholarship information. Applications submitted after April 1st will be considered on a first-come, first served basis.

Family discounts for current patrons who enrolled prior to August 2004:    10% of total tuition for 3 children, 25% of total tuition for 4 children.

Family discounts for patrons who enrolled after August 2004:    10% of total tuition for 3 children and 15% of total tuition for 4 children or more.

Patrons who give 10 post dated checks for tuition or who pay their tuition in full prior to the first day of school will be eligible for a special drawing of the following prizes:

          1. Credit for 1 Book Fee ($100 value)

          2. 1 Free Athletic Pass ($110 value)

          3. Credit for 1 Building Fee ($250 value)

          4. 1 Free Yearbook ($50 value)
