“I love being a student at Starkville Academy because of the people,” Stevens said. “I love both my peers and the fact that we have faculty who genuinely care about the success of their students.” The support from both his peers and teachers has been important for Stevens. Currently, he is president of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and a member of the National Honors Society. For the last five years, Stevens has played basketball, and he served as a captain for the 2016-2017 season. Through his extracurricular activities, Stevens believes he’s grown both personally and academically. “I have learned how to lead at Starkville Academy due to playing basketball and leading FCA,” he said. Stevens plans to attend Mississippi State University after graduation and major in business and minor in religion. After receiving his bachelor’s degree, he hopes to attend seminary.
