This week's soccer schedule:   Monday, February 6, Varsity doubleheader at Parklane.  Tuesday's match at Heritage has been canceled.  Wednesday, February 8 with Copiah (here); Varsity at 4, JV at 5:30.  Thursday, February 9 with East Rankin (here) Varsity only at 4pm.

SENIOR PARENTS...Senior Video....Email 3 (only) pictures to Cheryl Andrews by February 15 to candrews@starkvilleacademy.org                                          Scan in jpeg format non compressed. This includes a picture from birth, junior high, and senior.  Mrs. Andrews will soon have the senior portrait CD if you wish to use that picture. 

 In addition to these 3 pictures, you may send 3 more group pictures to be included at the end of the senior video of special memories/moments/events/etc. Make arrangements with Mrs. Andrews if you need to scan pictures in the lab.

Mission Statement


The mission of Starkville Academy is to provide quality educational programs in a Christian environment that will challenge students to excel academically, physically, socially, and spiritually.

Philosophy Starkville Academy was established to provide an excellent educational foundation for the students it serves. To this end the Academy is dedicated to finding and employing the best faculty and staff available to provide curriculum that will both stimulate and challenge students. The Academy seeks to provide and encourage a positive learning environment so that each student can strive to realize his/her full potential academically.

Accreditation and Affiliations Starkville Academy is fully accredited by the Mississippi Private School Association, the Southern Association of Independent Schools, and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

Faculty With a total staff of approximately 65, the instructional component consists of 54 highly qualified professionals. These teachers, as a group, bring a broad perspective to the educational picture at Starkville Academy as a result of their diverse university backgrounds. Almost half hold advanced degrees, and all participate in opportunities for their continued professional growth and development.

Campus Facilities The Starkville Academy campus is comprised of 27 acres, conveniently located just off Highway 25 South on Academy Road in Starkville. With four major classroom buildings, a band hall, athletic complex, and transportation building, the campus is both attractive and efficient. These facilities also house the elementary and secondary computer labs with 25 computer stations each, science lab, automated libraries that include a 24 station research lab for elementary and secondary students, cafeteria, art, chorus, and K-6 resource rooms. Athletic fields, tennis courts, and playground areas are also on the campus.

Admissions Starkville Academy does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, ethnic origin, disability, or gender in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, and other school-administered programs. Student applicants are given a standardized test and are interviewed by the principal prior to enrollment. Appointments may be made in the elementary or secondary offices.

Grading System A = 100-90; B = 89-80; C = 79-70; F = Below 70
