Starkville Academy's primary goal is to prepare students for college; therefore, the curriculum is designed to facilitate the student's entry into higher education. The school year is divided into 4 nine-week terms, with each day divided into 7 fifty-minute periods. Honors and advanced placement opportunities are available in English and mathematics.

Graduation Requirements
Starkville Academy requires 23 units to graduate, with a minimum of 21 academic units. Required courses include 4 English courses, 4 Math courses, 4 Science courses, 4 History courses, 1 Computer course, 1 Foreign Language course and 2nd year of Foreign Language or higher elective. All students are required to have a national ACT score report on file before a diploma can be issued.
Post-Secondary
Ninety-nine percent of Starkville Academy's students attend post-secondary schools. Over the past 5 years students have been offered between $250,00 - $500,00 in scholarships. Additionally, S.A. students have applied and matriculated to colleges and universities across the nation.
Standardized Testing
ACT: All students are required to take the ACT. The previous five-year mean score has ranged from 20.6-23.4.
