The purpose of the Volunteer Band program is to ensure that all students, regardless of age, sex, religion, socioeconomic status, political beliefs, or natural ability, receive the highest level of music education available. Students involved in the Volunteer Band program will become knowledgeable in music theory, music history, aural music knowledge, and cultural music knowledge while also becoming proficient on one or more musical instruments as a part of a large and small band ensemble as well as individual musicianship.

The goal we wish to achieve with the Volunteer Band is to create musically literate students who will carry the lessons learned in school throughout their lives, blessing others with the gift of music. As a part of the musical experience, students will also learn leadership and team-building skills, increase their overall intelligence, and become a part of a winning program.

To put it in a nutshell...
Perfection is our goal.
Though we may never reach the goal, we will reach excellence.
Only by continually seeking improvement can we achieve excellence.
Music is what unites us. Music is what influences us to continue to grow.
Therefore, music will always be the ultimate experience.
